Fun new hairstyles!

Olga and I had a sleepover a while ago and she had a new hairstyle that she wanted to try in my hair. She watched a video of how to do it on You Tube, and thought it was really cute. The next morning she came with us to my cousin's baptism, and she did my hair for me. It turned out really cute!

Here's the back of it. It was kind of like two big twisty things. :) There was one on each side, then they came together into a cute messy-bun!
When we got home I did her hair too. I did two french braids on top, then one up the back. It was the first time I had done it, but it looked super cute!

Yum! Yum!

I really wanted some ice cream the other day, and my mom had just gone to the store and bought some bananas and strawberries. So, I decided to make one very yummy BaNAnA sPliT! One banana on the bottom, (broken in half) two scoops of vanilla ice cream, lots of cut up strawberries, some chocolate syrup and also carmel syrup, then top it off with a scoop of cool whip! I know your jealous....

It was pretty good too...

Braces are NO MORE!

WHoo Hoo!! I got my braces off last Monday and I am L.O.V.I.N.G. my beautiful pearly whites! he he he! Seriously, they look so good! I didn't tell any of my friends, so after basketball practice my mom picked me up to take me to my 8:00 appointment. When I got there I was so excited! The secretary lady said that it wouldn't hurt and it would go by really fast. Well........ it did hurt when he actually pulled the braces off, but after that it wasn't that bad. For those of you that have never had braces, when they take them off, your teeth are still caked with that gross glue. So they have to use this drill thing on all your teeth to get the glue off. Talk about one wierd feeling!

When I got to school and saw my friends they were totally shocked! It took them a minute to figure out why I was smiling non-stop like a complete moron..... but they finally noticed! I couldn't stop smiling all day long, and my teeth felt really slimy! Then I had to get my retainer on Wednesday. It's polka-dotted but still super annoying! My orthodontist says that I can only take it out when I'm brushing my teeth, so I have to eat with it in too! I'm beginning to get more used to it, but I still hate it! :)

I would have lots of pictures but I'm still camera-less! I don't know if I've mentioned it on here or not, but my camera broke and we had to take it back. We still haven't got a new one because whenever I find one that I like, the store doesn't have any in stock. It's very frustrating but hopefully I can get one soon because I'm really missing having one. Sydney has a few pictures on her camera so I just have to get her to email them to me, then I'll post them!

Free iPod shuffle!!

Well, because of my amazing 4.0 for first term, I got to go to Honor Roll on Friday, and miss 4th period!! I have algebra that period, so I was a little nervous that I would miss something important. (which I probably did, but oh well) Anyway, I am so glad that I went! I ended up winning a new iPod shuffle! The student counsil did a raffle with four iPods, some iTunes gift cards, and lots of chocolate. It was the very last drawing that they were doing, and while everyone was doing a drumroll, I said, "BRIANNA BEAN!" and then right after that, the girl said, "BRIANNA BEAN!!" My friends and I were screaming so loud! It was so awesome! The iPod is so cool, and Jennifer is already after my mp3. This is what it looks like.... It may only be a 2GB, but my mp3 was only 1GB so I'm upgrading! And it was FOR FREE!

Totally and completely hilarious!

You'll never guess what happened at lunch today!.... To start off, by the end of lunch Olga and I both had chocolate milk all over us!

So it all started when Olga was taking a drink.... I all of a sudden got an urge to mess with her. I tapped her milk from the bottom (clearly not thinking!) and it spilt on her face and pants! She then got a wacky idea, and I think she obviously wasn't thinking either, because then she gave me a very wild look like, "you did NOT just do that!" and she dumped the rest of her carton all down the front of me! I was drenched in chocolate milk, and my white shirt was definitely stained! It was hilarious, and Olga and I both could not stop laughing! Even now while I type this I am cracking up! Everyone around us couldn't believe they had just witnessed that, and Olga and I weren't even close to mad at each other! The way I look at it..... I started it, and she had a right to get me back! (and oh, boy, did she do that!)

Anyway, I called my mom and she brought me a new shirt. What great memories!! I just wish someone would have pulled out a camara and taken a picture.....

Homemade bread at a sleepover!

Olga and I had a sleepover last week, and it was tons of fun! We went to Walmart first and while we were there, we decided that we wanted to make some homemade bread! So with some help from some employees, we found the yeast, and went home to get started. She had this really good recipe that she made at young womens once, so we made that. It's called "Amish white bread." Here are some pictures...

STEP 1: Mix yeast and warm water

STEP 2: Add flour and work the dough until soft (something like that)

Olga's beautiful heart shaped dough-
He He... i put flower all over her face... He He!

Ok, so even though we weren't making pizza, we wanted to try throwing the dough in the air like you do when you make pizza. It was hard, but way fun!

STEP 3: When dough is ready, shape into two loafs, and place in pans to rise.

STEP 4: Cook in the oven for 30 mins.
The one on the right is mine.... Olga's is way more professional!

This is Olga's- so beautiful. This is the one that I brought home for my family. Olga and I ate most of the loaf that I made.

STEP 5: Eat it up! Good with jam or toasted with butter.
Seriously, it was so good!! And it was even better because it was still hot from taking it out of the oven!

Well, after our bread-making Olga did my nails for me. They looked so awesome!! She did every nail a different color, and then she put zebra stripes on them. I don't know if you can see them very well from this picture...

She also wanted to try to make my hair go curly. So she wet me down, (seriously! She was getting everything wet with the spray bottle!!) then she put a bunch of moose in my hair. To keep it in over night, she french braided my hair and sprayed it all with hairspray.

Then in the morning we took out the braids, and it kind of worked! Not as good as it does when she does it to her hair... but I have a lot more hair then she does...

She came to my volleyball game that morning, and she was my good luck! We were playing a pretty hard team, but we won! It was lots of fun!

My hilarious conversation with Olga!

Today Olga and I were definetly on one.......

I asked her, "Olga, why does plucking your eyebrows make you sneeze?" (I know I'm wierd, but it's true!)
She answered me with, "Because it's sensational and it tickles!

I tell you, that's one of the funniest things that I've heard in a long time! I don't know where she comes up with all this stuff, but I love it!!! You're awesome Olga!!

Welcome back dance!

Everyone always loves the school dances! Friday was the "welcome back" dance, and of course we had an awesome time! I tell you, those things would be so boring if I didn't have any friends to dance and be crazy with! Ashley is hilarious and she definetly makes everything more exciting! I think that we were kind of scaring some of the 7th graders..... A few times we would see someone just sitting or standing around so we would go up to them and ask them if they wanted to come and dance with us.... It was funny because they would give us this wierd look like, "why are you talking to me- I don't know you- get away!" But at least we tried, right?

This picture is so cute!

Ok, I am extremely hesitant to put this picture on here!....... But I just think that it's hilarious! Ashley and I were running and then jumping and hitting our hips together....... you know what I'm talking about... and Natalie had my camera ready to take the picture. ha ha ha ha! Look at my face!

Singing along is of course always fun! They played "Thriller" at one point and we all lined up and did part of the Thriller dance! It was hilarious and boy did we get some wierd looks! I should of had someone take a picture because it was awesome!

This is Sydney and her friend Senja. It's fun to have Sydney coming to the dances now too!

These are just a few more group pictures that I had our friend Nikki take.

We're standing in "our corner!" It's where we're always at........ I don't know why, but we just like that spot!

Happy Birthday Ashley!!

The 9th was Ashley's birthday, and we did all kinds of fun things! We were all going to go see a movie together, but there really wasn't anything good out, so we ended up just having a little movie night over at Ashley's house, and it was lots of fun! I didn't take a lot of pictures, but here are a few....

Me, Olga, Celeste, Natalie, and Ashley! It's harder than you think to fit everyone in one picture by just sticking your arm out!

Me and Olga--- best buds!

This picture was just too funny to not put on here....... ha ha ha ha ha!

We also did some fun things at school for her on Wednesday. I brought this crown and we made her wear it all day long! I also decorated her locker for her before school with some cute little letters and my hand drawn balloons! We had Natalie open it for us, so that we could put her little presents in there along with her huge card that Celeste made!
Such a princess! And I must add, the Batman shirt adds to the fantasy quite a bit....

Olga is modeling the amazing card that Celeste made. We all signed it on the inside, and it was so cute!

This is the front of her locker.

Here's the inside... We were all waiting for her when she came up the stairs, (I know, not suspicious at all...) and she loved it!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY ASHLEY!

School has officially started!

Today was 8th and 9th grade day and it was so cool to see all of my friends again! It was kind of a long day other wise because we have to go to all eight of our classes and you do the same exact thing in every class! You go over the emergency procedures, you walk out to where you would go in case of a fire, you go over the rules in the planner, and then you talk about the grading policy for that class.... and so on! Super boring!!! But it's important so you just have to deal with it!

I'm really excited for the classes that I'm taking and some of my teachers are so funny! My yearbook teacher of course is amazing! (you'll never be bored in her class) My science teacher seems pretty nice and he has a good sense of humor.... my english teacher is really funny! She's totally into fashion and our classroom is decorated like some fancy house! With a big mirror, gold drapes, a little fountain, lots of plants and wall hangings...... I'm sure you can imagine! It doesn't even look like a classroom! Then there's my algebra teacher........................ that class will be very entertaining! She's not the most positive person in the world, but she's pretty funny! We had some people absent and she said, "Their friends must have warned them and they already transferred out of my class." And we were talking about who leaves first in a fire drill and this is what she said, "Of course the students go first because no one cares about the teachers!"

Anyway, I'm also taking French 1 and Ashley and Amber are both in my class! And I'm being a peer leader. That's where you help out in the office and do service projects.... It should be lots of fun! Here are some pictures from today-

Celeste, Ashley, me, and Sadie! Brittany's in the back not knowing about the picture...
Lunch is always a fun time! That's Natalie in the middle telling a story with lots of facial expressions! :)

Olga, me, and Amber!

Celeste and Tiffany! I'm so sad because Celeste is moving to Washington around December!!

Tomorrow is when it's all the grades together at school! It's going to be sooooooo crazy!

Yearbook staff and 7th grade day!

Am I the only one that can't believe summer is already over!?!?! That's nuts! Well anyway, there's nothing that I can do about it, and I've had fun so far! Amber and I had to go on seventh grade day because we're on the yearbook staff this year, (WAY EXCITED!) and there was a huge training meeting that day! I have to say, "Holy cow there are so many seventh graders this year!!!" That's why some of the ninth graders had to go to westlake..... I feel kind of bad for them becuase they're all so lost and nervous being at a new school, and then it definetly does not help having all the eighth and ninth graders making fun of them!

Amber's mom came out and took our picture before we got on the bus....... Finally we're all three in the same school again! But unfortunetly not for very long becuase next year Amber goes to HIGH SCHOOL!!
It seems like whenever I try to take a picture of all three of us I always cut Amber's face in half! I'm really sorry Amber!

Anyway, I am way excited to be on the yearbook staff!!! The yearbook is going to be awesome this year and I'm so excited to help make it! I'm in charge of the school dances page, the faculty fun pages, (wierd funny pictures of the faculty) and also the foreign language pages! And then of course we all help take lots of pictures for the various pages and the cover and back of the book too....... Some things that we did all day- We learned some picture taking tips, we talked about the book, (obviously) we checked out the yearbook room, we assigned pages, we played games to get to know each other, and we practised taking pictures! Here are a few of them....
Practicing shooting from a "birds eye view." I LOVE this picture! I think that it's way cute!
One of the things that we talked about was using the surroundings as "leading lines" to your subject. In the picture above I was trying to use the bleachers, and in the picture below I was using the track and the bricks on the wall.... They're definetly not professional, but I think they're kind of cool...
Cassie and Elora, some other awesome girls that are on the staff!
The girl in the light blue shirt that's talking is hilarious! She was telling us stories from yearbook camp (only the main editors get to go to that) and we were laughing so hard!
I also LOVE this picture! It's so cute!!! I'm way glad that Amber's on the staff with me, we're going to have so much fun!!

Sydney and I

Sydney and I have been hanging out together (as usual) for the past few days and we've had lots of fun! Of course taking lots of pictures and laughing! We had a sleepover last night and watched movies on her bed. I had a ton of pictures of us together so I put them in kind of a comic strip and it's really cute.......
We put headbands around our heads and we looked like hippies, but really wierd. I don't know why I turned this picture black and white, but oh well!
Don't ask...
Sydney's dog Jasmine was hanging out with us. We were eating popcorn and she kept jumping on Sydney trying to get some even after we gave her one of her treats! She's so cute!
Sydney can be a little wierd sometimes..... just kidding! I love her!
